2021/22 Extension of Suspension of Face-to-face Classes for all Schools after Chinese New Year Holidays

Education Bureau of Hong Kong has announced the extension of suspension of face-to-face classes for all schools after Chinese New Year Holidays. Therefore, the kindergarten has made the arrangement accordingly, please find the details below:

  1. The arrangement of “Learn from Home” lesson will remain in line after Chinese New Year holidays          (14th Feb 2022) until face-to-face classes are resumed.
  2. Parents should come to the kindergarten on 12th Feb 2022 (Sat) and 14th Feb 2022 (Mon) to pick-up new “Learn from Home” materials for a week and to submit the completed homework of first term, the class teachers will return them after marking.

 

Also, the EDB has also given a new policy to the kindergarten according to the “Vaccine Bubble” arrangement announced by the government on 4th Jan 2022, please find the details below:

  1. All teaching staffs and non-teaching staffs at school, services provider, and all visitors, including parents and care-giver, volunteers etc. have to show the record of vaccinated with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine while entering the school.
  2. According to the requirement of EDB, the kindergarten has set-up a QR code of “Leave Home Safe”, all teaching staffs and non-teaching staffs at school, services provider, and all visitors, including parents and care-giver, volunteers etc. have to scan the QR code with relative mobile application while entering the school.

2021/22 Notice of Face-to-face Classes Suspension

The COVID-19 Omicron variant has a high infectivity and is posing a serious threat. The Education Bureau has announced face-to face classes for all primary schools, kindergartens and Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Centres have to suspend from 14th Jan 2022 until school’s Chinese New Year Holiday (CNY holiday: 31st Jan 2022 to   13th Feb 2022).

2021/22 Postponement of K2 Wetland Park Exploration

Due to the outbreak of Omicron Variant of COVID-19 in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Wetland Park has informed the kindergarten on 7th Jan 2022 that they will be temporary closed according to the government policy. The field trip to Hong Kong Wetland Park scheduled on 13th Jan 2022 (Thursday) for K2 students will be postponed until the Wetland Park re-open (If the school is not available on the reopening date according to the school calendar, the field trip will be cancelled without further notice). All students should come to the school as usual on the day (please wear neat sport uniform; enter and leave the school as normal: 8:30am – 12:00pm), as well as the school bus service, parents should drop off and pick up their child accordingly.

2021/22 Cancellation of K2 Learning Field Trip – Brighter Smiles Playland

Due to the outbreak of Omicron Variant of COVID-19 in Hong Kong, the Jockey Club School Dental Clinic will not be opening according to the government policy. The field trip to “Brighter Smiles Playland” scheduled on    7th Jan 2022 (Friday) for K2 students will be canceled. All students should come to the school as usual (please wear neat uniform; enter and leave the school as normal: 8:30am – 12:00pm), as well as the school bus service, parents should drop off and pick up their child accordingly.

2021/22 Special Notice of Omicron Variant of COVID-19

As the outbreak Omicron variant of COVID-19 in Hong Kong have been quickly grown recently, a lot of concerns has arisen in the society. Thus, the kindergarten has strengthened the pandemic prevention measures starting from 3rd Jan 2022. Please find the details below:

  1. The school has strengthened daily cleaning and sanitizing, including toilets, classrooms, toys and other facilities, etc. Students who have picked-up by their parents, parents and any other visitors (excluding visitors who have appointments) are not allowed to enter the school during cleaning period, please find the cleaning schedule below: 1. 8:00am – 8:30am, 2. 12:15pm – 2:15pm (Except students in PM session), 3. 4:30pm – 5:30pm.
  2. Everyone must wear a mask (infants aged under 2 years-old can use face shield), take body temperature and clean their hands with alcohol sanitizer before entering the school. If anyone including parents and children does not want to use our hand sanitizer, please bring your own.
  3. Snack time will be continuously suspended, students can only drink water during the lesson, dividers will be placed on tables to separate the children while they are drinking water. Parents are advised to prepare a water bottle (the straw must be covered by a lid) and spare masks or a container for the mask to reduce the risk of infection.
  4. Rules of hygiene awareness will be set in order to enhance cultivate good hygiene habits for students, such as: washing hands frequently, not touching masks at will, etc. Parents should also instill awareness of epidemic prevention for children at home; and keep a safe social distance when lining up for the bathroom, etc. Smaller group activities will take place rather than whole class activities.

 

Pandemic prevention is everyone’s responsibility as well. Cooperation from parents is important for us to maintain a clean and safe environment for all students. We call on your support to step up environmental hygiene in the household, and, on top of that, implement the following measures strictly:

  1. Pay attention to the health condition of your child. He/She should stay away from school and see a doctor immediately if symptoms, especially fever, are detected.
  2. Take your child’s temperature before he/she goes to school every day. Fill out the “Temperature Record Form” provided by our school and sign your name on it. Your child should return the completed form to us daily.
  3. To prevent infection, please ask your child to wear a mask (also applicable when taking the school bus and other transportation) and bring one handkerchief in his/her pocket and one wet towel in the towel box to school every day.

  4. For those who have contracted the virus and have recovered, if they are still within the 14-day quarantine period, they must not go to school.

  5. Parents are requested to notify our head-teacher Ms. Ginny on 2702 7188 or 2702 7838 immediately to facilitate our prompt action in taking contingency measures and informing the EDB: (a)your child has been confirmed infection of COVID-19; or (b)your child has been classified as a “close contact of an infected person” with COVID-19. Note: “close contact of an infected person” generally refers to having cared for the patient, living with the patient or having contact with patients with respiratory secretions and body fluids.
